A modern, on trend office was what creative agency Rowland had in mind for their new premises. The company were to relocate to the glamorous Gold Tower in the Brisbane CBD, in a tenancy that boasts views of the Brisbane river at tree top level. With an impressive floor plate, Rowland had high hopes for the interior fit out, and chose Plan A to deliver their dream space.
Working nationally as a communication, digital and creative brand, the company needed a working environment with a point of difference, that showcases their progressive thinking and talent.
The conventional floor layout of an independent reception with enclosed meeting rooms and work spaces was disregarded here. An open, fluid design took its place, where clients are invited into the creative space, without visual boundaries between the visitor and the team at work and play.
The open plan work area is inclusive of a central open meeting space for informal meetings, and stand up desks promoting ergonomic flexibility.
The brief called for a Scandinavian inspired design scheme. The look was achieved with a monochrome palette and polished concrete flooring, warmed with the use of light timber finishes and a smattering of greenery suspended over the work spaces. The greenery and timber are contrasting elements against the black framework and joinery, for a look that’s both sleek and relaxed.
The overall effect of the interior suggests a confident and welcoming approach to Rowland’s collaboration with their clients. The business were extremely happy with the end result.
